Youth Summer School

This year we provided 5 of our inspiring young pipers ranging in age from 12-18 the opportunity to attend Summer School in Christchurch.

Summer School is an environment where for 5 day's they were able to immerse themselves in their music being taut by some of the best tutors from New Zealand & aboard.

These education programmes are brilliant -

  • The kids are socialising with like minded people - often creating new friends for life

  • Inspired by their tutors talents

  • Lights the fire in their bellies - re installs any lost enthusiasm

  • Sharpens their skills

Bringing new talent through is imperative & we at the Pipes & Drums of Horowhenua have always recognised this.
